About the Role
Whistle’s Platform Executive is a new full-time role, ideal for someone aspiring to build a career in Public Relations and Social Media. By taking care of a variety of specialist industry software tools, you will become conversant with all of the foundational workflows in the communications industry, from developing press lists, issuing press releases, helping to pitch journalists to managing monthly reporting on social media engagement for clients to the movement of digital audiences onto client websites and apps.
This is a role that will suit a digital native with skills in using SaaS tools and a curiosity to maximise the digitisation of communications workflows. To support our PR and digital teams, you will be precise and committed to ensuring our content output on behalf of our clients is accurate, approved and timely.
You will also have an interest in data and how to present audience, coverage and engagement information back to clients in a way that cuts through jargon and helps inform those without expert knowledge. A full job description will be provided to applicants.
About You
This role will suit a grad who has studied media, communications, journalism or PR and is looking for their first or second job en route to progressing in the industry.
By managing our platforms and overseeing our output as well as our reporting back to clients, your knowledge and insight will grow based on exposure to all aspects of our processes across PR and social media. We consider 12-18 months in this role as a foundation for a move into an active account executive role and will provide a very strong understanding of the building blocks of digital PR and communications.
While we expect no prior experience, you will need to come armed with the right disposition to fulfil this brief. How Do We Work?
This is an office-based or hybrid role dependent on your preference. You must be able to attend the office in central Oxford (at your own cost) a minimum of one day per week on Wednesdays (more often to start in order for onboarding purposes); on other days, you are welcome to work from the office, or home, but remote workers must be able to work in a quiet location with suitable wifi provision and be online and available during office hours (9am – 5pm).
